These are a few design details from my entry to the latest Spoonflower Fabric of the Week competition with the theme birds and using a restricted colour palette. My idea is to make the leaves of the tree into feathers so the birds will feel even more at home! I am very pleased with the result as this is my very first "acceptable" design which is a real repeat pattern. It is still however only a one way repeat, next time round I will be trying a two way repeat... or something else even more complicated!
Hope you like it?
You can see the whole repeat on Spoonflower or enjoy some details on Flickr.
Your design is lovely! The feathers on the branches is clever, and I love the movement of the print.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to purchase about 6 or 7 yards from Spoonflower to reupholster my favourite comfy chair, but I was wondering if you could do it in a slightly different colourway? The background colour is perfect, however I'm looking for brown instead of black and then some sort of reddish-pink instead of the orange.
Is there any way you could accomodate this?
Thanks!
Marnie
Dear Marnie
DeleteI'm so sorry but I only saw this message from you today!
Of course you can have any colour you wish. I can try out a couple of colourways and send you a jpg, or post them on my blog, or on Spoonflower, that is not a problem. The only problem might be that you have already changed your mind... I hope not.
Write to me at this e-mail dawnclarkson@libero.it.
Thanks
